Alan Wake 2.

I... need to sit down. I need to take a breather, I need to see a psychologist but -
I think this may well be one of the best games I have ever played in my entire life.
The last chapter leading to the ending was just absolutely thrilling. Wow.

I'm so close to pulling the trigger on that damn collector's edition.

Just realized I started a new game plus and didn’t save a file before jumping into it.

Literally fuck my life.
Well I beat Radahn, Mohg, and Rennala for good measure.

Finally, a great decision, that fight really annoyed me. The thing isn't even hard, its just so damn frustrating that you have to run towards the boss, I kept yelling at the TV "you coward!"

I usually hold off on buying anything on release outside of Nintendo titles, but here I think I'm gonna have to relent. I wasn't sure whether it was worth starting a new character or diving in with my complete save, but from an initial read it seems pitched at endgame. I hope there's plenty in there for us mage girlies! I'd love more viable spells and weapon diversity.

Omg wtf Land of Shadows is actually difficult?! My endgame character is sitting it at level 160 and I’m barely getting by. I did kill fire giant in two attempts though. Major serve.

I’m having a lot of fun with Dead Cells if you’re looking for light Metroidvania with roguelite mixed in.

I've been playing this these last few days after meaning to for years, and it'd been going pretty well, the game really is excellent, and also not as hard as I thought it'd be/as a few others in the genre (on standard difficulty at least). I beat the final boss the other day and am now am trying to visit all biomes... well today I got to the lighthouse for the first time

The fact that that's not even that route's final boss

It's not even that hard??? It's so difficult to me.

It's not that it isn't hard, it's just that compared to other roguelikes it doesn't feel quite as strict/punishing, for example Rogue Legacy 2 was definitely harder. You can really stomp if you get a good build going, and some of the mutations really make your life easier (Disengagement and No Mercy are thee ones for me). That said, I fully expect the highest difficulty levels to be insane, for now I'm just happy to try tackling everything on normal.
