Video Games

As much as I like Metaphor, I do feel like the pacing is off. I’ve been playing for an hour and a half (just before the fourth dungeon) and I feel like all I’ve done is press the X button to move the dialogue forward.

Also feels to me like Persona 5 had more variety of things to do during off days.

Star Wars Outlaws is everything! It's a Ubisoft open world game, sure, but not like any other I've played. This one definitely emphasizes exploring the world to discover things and really emphasizes having to do things stealthy or risk hurting your relationships with the syndicates. The loot is pretty rewarding too, so sneaking into these bases and getting out un-scathed feels like an accomplishment. I highly recommend.

It doesn't take very long if I recall correctly, after the first handful of sequences. Also I'm not sure where you read that but he's actually quite a boring protagonist if I recall correctly, Ezio, Edward or even Haythan are much more interesting characters. Also I love how you're seemingly playing every game in the series at the same time ddd
Quoting this again, but OMG he is so one note?! Grumpy and monotone. The game itself is lovely but I am not loving Connor's character. His fighting style is amazing though and the parkour is excellent. And I like the Homestead stuff.
He needs more of his Grandaddy's rizz.

If you haven't seen that this game is making waves a few months after its release, I highly suggest checking it out if you're into psychological horror and character drama.

It's short but it has not left my mind in 48 hours.

Dragon Age for PS5 was half price on Amazon for Black Friday so picked that up along with Sea Of Stars for the Switch yesterday. It’s been ages since I’ve got stuck into a game and have a week of annual leave next week so excited to spend it doing sod all except gaming and getting stoned.

So AC Syndicate is just as great as I remember, Victorian London is a fascinating setting, all the side stuff is engaging and I never feel too bored even though many of them are similar. I love the Frye twins, but Jacob is my number 1. Maybe top 3 protagonists for me. A bisexual king.

I really struggled to get into Syndicate because the enemies detect you so damn easily. Also the zipline thing that never shot where you wanted it to go. And the fact they used the same 4 character models for every enemy/gang member was incredibly lazy too.

Odysee/Origins remain untouched as peak AC.

Well you can upgrade your skills to make enemies much less likely to detect you and even to not engage in combat unless in their specific territory. I think it’s meant to be a sign of Jacob and Evie not being assassins for very long and learning more as they spend more time in London.
You can also just use the precise sin button to point at the area you want to zip to.

The reuse of the models might be a tad lazy but they did that in Odyssey and Origins too. A lot. And pretty much every other AC game too for enemy groups.

I love how many little RPG references I'm incorporating into my young adult novel in which the protagonist is trapped in an RPG world. For instance, faith is referred to as fayth, there's a chapter called "A Tale of Graces," the village that the protagonist starts in looks like Arni from Chrono Cross, etc. I also have an Elden Ring reference in there.
