Estelle's Shine is getting a repress.

UO will have a red version.

There's a orange transparent/opaque colour in colour version too on this site (note sure if it's exclusive/standard/indies only). https://propermusic.com/collections/pre-orders/products/estelle-shine

Estelle soared to international prominence on 2008's Shine. The lead single, "American Boy" featuring Kanye West, won a 2009 GRAMMY? in the category of "Best Rap Sung Collaboration". As vinyl was declining, Atlantic chose not to keep this vinyl in print. It goes for over $100 if you can find it at all. Round Hill Records is going to reissue the vinyl and add a new remix of "American Boy". It is updated here with an Afro-Beat remix by up and coming DJ NASHUP. NASHUP won a contest put on by Timbaland's Beat Club and is hand picked by Estelle as she looked for a new take on the classic. NASHUP is also a member of acclaimed Hot Chelle Rae. As a recording artist Estelle has released 5 solo albums and countless features and collaborations that have crossed multiple genres and generations of artists. She released the follow-up All Of Me in 2012, and the single "Thank You" received a GRAMMY? nomination for "Best R&B Performance." 2015's True Romance yielded the anthem "Conqueror". Guest starring in a popular episode of Fox's Empire, it stood out as "one of the show's highest- charting songs" and fueled the Original Soundtrack to a #1 bow on the Billboard Top 200. Estelle joined the Apple Music Radio family and is bringing the world "The Estelle Show". The Estelle Show is a daily opportunity to invite listeners into Estelle's home and heart to celebrate the diverse sounds and cultures that music provides. Within a year of the shows debut Estelle won the esteemed Gracie Award for "Women In Media". Never one to be limited Estelle's vocal talents have now ventured into the world of animation. Estelle voiced a lead character by the name Garnet, on Cartoon Network's Emmy Nominated hit show Steven Universe. Estelle will be putting out a new album later this year and a new book in 2025

Has anyone had issues with MerchBar saying something is in stock but when you go to check out it says it's unavailable? Is this some sort of glitch?

I’ve been cutting back on collecting vinyl the last two years after 2020-2022 being peak collecting to the point where it just became some weird obsession/fomo of trying to have every release in my collection just for the sake of it.

But today I went into my local record store and found these two which made me so happy:

Extraordinary Machine was the last album of Fiona Apple that I don’t own and since she’s one of my favourite artists ever I’ve always wanted to own all of her albums on vinyl. Didn’t even know this one was on vinyl nowadays it was such a great find!

And the other one was a real surprise! Didn’t know that Tori Amos had her first B-sides released on vinyl since I’m so out of the loop, but when I saw it I just had to buy!View attachment IMG_1437.jpeg

Can any kind soul recommend the best second hand record stores in Amsterdam? I´m especially looking for ones that sell 12" and 7" singles + a good selection of pop/disco albums. Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

Concerto (obviously)
Amstel Antiques Records
City Records
Record Mania
Red Light Records
Second Life (probably your best choice for pop/disco)
Homesick Records (if you can dodge all the Bob Dylan)

Any record store that advertises it specialises in funk will have some disco in there by genre association.

For 7"/12" there used to be Eardrum Buzz Records, but I'm fairly sure that closed over Covid, might be worth checking the address.
Try Michiel Vinyl instead for 7".

Let me add RecordFriend Elpees as well, really decent pop/disco/funk records with a 5er and a good selection of 7''.
