I have a really faint memory of this French boy band who tried to break the UK (and failed). It was around 2004, I think they may have been on GMTV and/or Popworld, not present, but like, them showing a clip of their music video or something. Name was something like Amelie or Aimée or something like that.

Anyone able to shed any light on all this?

The name is not at all right but could possibly be Linkup? They were very briefly successful at the time.

2be3 are the only French boyband I can remember putting a bit of effort to promote over here.

They seemed quite popular with the UK gays at least... for their looks. Nobody seemed to know or care about their songs but I remember lots of pictures of them looking hot.

Are you sure you didn't go to France in 2004 and saw them on Hit Machine or something? Cannot remember any French boybands trying to make it in the UK..

You're not thinking of O-Zone, are you? Romanian boy band who promoted here and hit the UK top 3 in 2004 with 'Dragostea Din Tei'?

It could very well be Akcent. They released Kylie around that time and if you didn't know, those accents could easily sound French.

I realize this is a major long shot. I think it was around these parts that someone gave a link to a video from around the 80's (perhaps early 90's) from a French blonde shot-haired female singer. I remember the video being in black and white and mostly set in an almost empty room. That's pretty much all I can gather.

I'm not even sure if it was on here, but I vaguely remember it could've been in a Kate Ryan thread where people were suggesting songs she could cover next. Since this is pretty much the only forum where I actively participate in music discussions, I figured it was worth a try to ask here.

Anyone have any ideas who/what song it could be?

Thanks for both of your help! I think it might be Voyage Voyage, but for some reason it doesn't feel right. If anyone comes up with anything else, suggestions are welcome!

Seems absurd we already don't have one of these.

I'm looking for a recent-ish song by a Scandipop blonde female. She's never broken through on UK charts or on Popjustice, but I do believe she was featured on PJ at some point. Her's name like...Anne Marie, except not Anne Marie, but something like that, and it's a tropibop.
