What's That Song?

Ugh, got one stuck in my head that started when I was listening to Depeche Mode's Precious.
I think it's 80s (or 90s), one of those songs that has possibly recently been sampled (instrumentally) on a dance record.
Feel: think Depeche Mode/Ultravox, and I think the chorus starts with "I used to (think?)..."?

True Faith by New Order?

Not long ago I read about a Mariah Song, that has like 17 takes in one word. It was so funny. I just can't find the song anymore or remember the name. Can someone help please?

Was watching a retro session of music videos with friends and they talk loud as fuck and were drunk, so couldn't remember much of the lyrics, but I remember lots about the video: probably 80s, very Paula Abdul-esque sound and dance moves, black woman with big earrings, she dances in a chair in some moments and also has a dinner table with candles with a guy and a chess floor.

I thought it was Pebbles, but after going through her videos I can say it's not her!

I know it's vague but it's all I can remember dd.

Chess floor maybe?

I think I cracked it!!

Chair dancing ✅
Dinner table ✅
Chess floor ✅

Well, it’s a bop even if it’s not this!

I only have a snippet of the lyrics:

“On BBM…”

The lines around it were about the boy stopping chasing them and hitting them up on BBM. It was like a list of places where they did not want to be contacted.

The group was a short-lived (one single?) British girl band. Two singers. The video had shots of a guy working out (bench pressing? Dumb bell curls?) in a flat in a high rise. Also shots of the singers on the bus? Maybe in their Blackberries, so probably 2009/2010?

Please help.

This?

Pop song, presumably female & I think from like... 2008-13, maybe British, that has the line:

[If you know what I mean?]
I know you know what I mean
[Tall, tan, ??]

Delivered in a cheeky / aggressive way?

EDIT: After puzzling over this for a good 24 hours, I realised immediately after posting

Problematic bop!

I'm looking for a song I heard on the radio, while driving home in the car of a friend. His car is quite old and the radio isn't working properly anymore so we couldn't find out wich channel it was on same goes for the name of the singer/band.

I just remember the song was very dreamy, atmospheric, it was a guy singing, I think I heard the words.. ''Straight ahead back at it'' or something like that in the chorus, the song also reminded me a little bit of Empire Of The Sun, as it was quite synth heavy in the background.

Thank's in advance if anybody can help me out with it.
