The way I read it I think we have heading for a more electric soul sound. Yazoo, Alison Moyet, Erasure, Heaven 17, that sort of thing.

I hope he goes for Vince Clarke's sound as it was, and not the drivel he's been churning out with Erasure for the last 15 years.

You're right. I'm an electro-loving gay and I'm sure as hell not buying a Will Young album. It's bad enough that he features on this song, which I happen to love. But I'm willing to overlook that since he's not credited. And don't get me started on how much Xanax I had to take to deal with the fact this is Groove Armada too.

You clearly have an open mind when it comes to music then...

Trust me, Will Young and Groove Armada were the last two acts I thought I would be getting excited about in 2010, but the music proved me wrong.

Credited or not, he happened to co-write History, and there's more where that came from.Will's been writing with them for 5 years and apart from the Andy Cato remix of Friday's Child, this is the first of their tracks to be released.
He's also been working with SuperBass, Fred Falke and he's done vocals over a Calvin Harris backing track. Biff Stannard (The Hurts) is mixing some of his new stuff, so all in all, it should be a pretty eclectic dance album.

Let It Go is may favourite WY album, it should have done so much better. Won't Look Down, Tell Me The Worst and I Won't Give Up could easily have been singles.

Love History, his vocal on it is fabulous, can't wait to hear more like it on the new album.

Chart wise does anyone think Will Young has had his time? Changes wasn't that big a hit (a top 10 scrape I think), Grace did poorly and the final single went without a trace as did the greatest hits single. Have Radio 1 and the chart buying public given up on him?

Singles wise he doesn't seem to get the backing from R1 but album sales are still healthy. The Hits performed much better than I was expecting, nearly half a million now, and it bounced around the top 20 from release until fairly recently. From someone who's been around as long as he has in the fickle world of pop I think that's a pretty good indication that the album buying public at least are still interested.

How he'll do with a dance album is anybody's guess but I'm glad he's taking the risk.

History is completely amazing and he should definitely head in this direction for his new album. His voice is stunning on that song.

everything else will fall in line if he has that.. Genre/schmenre!

Yeah, he did stage acting, and a few episodes of things on TV! I think he starred in an episode of 'Skins' last year too!
