I really don’t get the staged allegations… yes it is weird as hell what happened but I think that was more because of the awful Secret Service and probably Trump not doing what he’s meant to (get away quickly)

In the last few days we’ve had Sonia Massey, the Pali protesters getting the eff beaten out of them and now the Manchester UK Airport incident where a detained man got his head kicked in.

This is all so grim.

Can't buster the energy to keep up with some national politics, so I ignore most of it unless it's really important (cc: me learning Trump getting shot from the Woman's World thread dumpster fire)

I follow Bisan on Instagram and it is astonishing the stuff she talks about being on the ground in Gaza. I think about the years of abuse Palestine and its people have endured at the hands of "Israel" only for it to go unnoticed because we didn't have the access or means to hear about this stuff before social media. Now, my heart still hurts, bleeds and aches because EVERYONE is fully aware of what the IDF are subjecting Palestinians to but no one seems to care.

A beheaded baby thanks to an IDF rocket? That's normal.
Parents carrying the limbs and guts of their children in plastic bags thanks to the IDF? That's normal.
Rampant infection and disease continuing to spread and vital aid being blocked at the border because "Israel" wants them to die? That's normal.
The IDF raping and sexually abusing Palestinian prisoners for the fun of it? That's normal.

For the past 10 months I have felt like I am going insane just watching this world think all of this is just perfectly normal.

If the people of Palestine were white people, best believe this would've been one and done 76 years ago.

I'm also still devastated every time I see footage from Gaza. I legit just... do not comprehend how anyone can see a volume of suffering that NO ONE CURRENTLY ALIVE IN THE WEST HAS *EVER* FELT, and going "but Israel are God's people! They need our support!" Actually lost a friendship over it last week. Don't care. Speaking up for Gazans and all Palestinians is the strongest moral imperative all humans have at this point. It's evil in its rawest form. I hope to god Bibi (Rexha) starts unraveling in light of the mass protests of Israelis who have *finally* realized that the whole thing is a bloodbath and they will let as many Israelis die as they want until the genocide is complete. May we still be alive to see it spoken about it in history classes in 40 years with the same repentant reverence we do Nazi Germany. Well, sane people with functioning brain cells and empathy, anyway.

Again, my heart is out there to anyone who's being affected by the conflict or their families and friends. Please give to PCRF or the Red Cross if you can. We can't do much, but we can absolutely get more medical resources to a few more people. They need it more than ever. All the best to you all.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is terminating the supply-and-confidence agreement his party made with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberal government.

The confidence-and-supply agreement struck between the two parties in March 2022 committed the NDP to supporting the Liberal government on confidence votes in exchange for legislative commitments on NDP priorities.

The deal, which ensured the survival of the minority Liberal government, was the first such formal agreement between two parties at the federal level.
