Very believable actually - Matt`s performance of Nights in White Satin was reflected in his downloads. I suspect Wand Erection are not as popular as people would believe and Mary`s performances last week were forgettable hence her low downloads.

I think it's quite believable actually.

Who is going to buy a Mary song to listen to? Whereas Katie a lot of her fans would want to listen to them, Mary's fans I can't really see it.

Cher and One Direction were pretty close which doesn't surprise me but I think Cher's fans are more of the kind who would want to download her songs, a lot of One D fans might settle for Youtube rips, I don't know?

Matt had a great week and although I preferred his first, his second performance was incredibly well recieved so I think that explains him being ahead.

Two questions: Where are these figures from, and are there any for other weeks?

I completely believe Katie outselling Mary. Did anyone hear Mary's second performance? As Cheryl says, "the proof is in the pudding". Mary gets the Tesco/Irish/Eldelry/Sympathy vote which Katie didn't.

It's going to be even more complicated than that. What will they do about One Direction being from all over the place? I can't remember how they handled JLS. Weren't a couple of them from the same place at least?

Yeah I think so, maybe they'll just have a 'base' where all the family/friends/fans are invited to?

They formed through a trade paper, I believe. And one is from Peterborough*.

(*I'm positive this isn't in London, but if it is then I claim "man in a foreign land" as my defence.)
