Just caught this on EW.com. Dunno, it seems like the result of some corporate focus-testing on the part of FOX instead of actually finding a panel that's entertaining, has chemistry and is actually helpful to the contestants. Like Demi to reel in the 'young' market, Kelly to reel in the 'urban' market, Paulina (who? btw) to reel in the latino market.
It looks to me like the result of erasing many, many zeroes from the budget and then seeing who they could afford with what was left.
