They/them, he/him
It's a totally benign cover at worst. The severity of the takes is bizarre!

This is absolutely NOT aimed at people on here: There's an undercurrent of nastiness when Olly is brought up in conversation- especially amongst my local queer community- and honestly, it's profoundly uncomfortable. I cannot for the life of me think what he has done to earn scorn, which makes me think that it comes from a place of jealousy that he is a queer person doing something that brings him a lot fulfilment and joy. Some people really need to look inwards and work out why they like to drag him and dislike him so intensely. It's one thing not to like a song (I personally dislike a great deal of Palo Santo and the singles from Night Call), but to drag his vocals, his looks, his body, his acting ability, his hair style, everything about him is so problematic and is- I suspect- driven by self internalised homophobia and jealousy.

I agree with this 100% and I kinda see it on this board too across all the queer pop stars.

I do think he gets alot of unwarranted dislike. And not all related to the music, which of course is all down to individual choice.
Personally I think all 3 albums are on a par with each other. And he’s a captivating performer, his Glastonbury performance is glorious. Vocally a bit hit and miss, but he has genuine presence.
