I love the recent Cherry Pop reissues of the first two albums. The B sides and stuff make the albums even better.

Would definitely have voted for Can't Slow Down or Purple Rain, but none of the others are among my definitive Top 10-20 albums of the 80s. I appreciate how successful and often influential some were, but my tastes are a little off from the mainstream at times.

I think in the UK the top sellers on that list are Thriller and Kylie. Not sure any of the others shifted more than 2 million? Like A Virgin and Whitney Houston are probably next biggest sellers?

EDIT: Yes it seems those are the biggest sellers, with Make It Big also making the decade top 20. Didn't think Whitney Houston had outsold Like A Virgin. I knew Whitney had outsold True Blue. Both Madonna albums felt much bigger to me though.

I think Like A VIrgin has sold 25 million worldwide and Faith over 20 million?

I always used to follow the US charts (dear old Record Mirror!), so I often confuse what was big here and in the States.

Madonna's first 3 albums were all massive in the States.

Not too shabby. Faith was immense in America. Did it outsell Bad? They were released around the same time.
