We should have a poll of best long running singles act. Who would win? Madonna? Michael Jackson? Pet Shop Boys? Kylie?
Cyndi and Janet were the two automatic pics from me. Madonna edged Kylie for third choice but I'd have voted for Samantha Fox's 'I Wanna Have Some Fun' if it had been there. I know it wasn't a huge UK hit but was such a good 80s pop album. (Oh I just saw someone else mentioned Sam on page 2, great minds).
The poll options here only offer 10 choices. It would be nice if they could be revamped to at least double that...

I love how Olivia's 'side' of Xanadu is so commercial. Easier said than done when the tracks include duets with Cliff, the Tubes and Gene Kelly!

Yet, in the film she wasn't even in that sequence! They had 3 other women miming to the song. Insane!
This was a sequence she filmed for a US TV show in the 1980. It should have replaced the scene in the movie!
That sequence is one of my favourite parts of any film, ever! It's a shame Olivia didn't appear when it's clearly her singing.
