Tango In The Night and Introducing the Hardline According To Terence Trent D'Arby were the other biggies from 1987. Oh, and Hysteria. And Hearsay! It never ends.
That's just 'Nasty"!I bought 'Control' when released - rarely have I been so disappointed with an album, really grated and 3 plays later I was offloading it on my Dad. Never heard it since, and I don't know if he ever played it either!
I'd got Songs From The Big Chair on my list, but ran out of options!what no Tears for Fears??? Ok, 'Rio' it is...
Just because you want to include Olivia's Physical. I see you!Perhaps it would be better doing best albums by year.. Starting with 1980, maybe.
I might do...!Just because you want to include Olivia's Physical. I see you!
Yeah, that might do better because of the ELO content.Include the Xanadu soundtrack and I'll vote for that!
You'd still get people wishing for albums that didn't make the listThe poll options here only offer 10 choices. It would be nice if they could be revamped to at least double that...
I'd never thought of it as an Olivia "side" and ELO "side" because I've only ever had it on CD but that should have been obvious. Doh!Yeah, that might do better because of the ELO content.
I love how Olivia's 'side' of Xanadu is so commercial. Easier said than done when the tracks include duets with Cliff, the Tubes and Gene Kelly!
Very true. I've tried it on other forums! You'd still get people wishing for albums that didn't make the list
Yet, in the film she wasn't even in that sequence! They had 3 other women miming to the song. Insane!I'd never thought of it as an Olivia "side" and ELO "side" because I've only ever had it on CD but that should have been obvious. Doh!
Dancin' never fails to send me into something of a frenzy!

This was a sequence she filmed for a US TV show in the 1980. It should have replaced the scene in the movie!
Did you look at the clip I posted? Olivia is in it. 3 of her in fact! That sequence is one of my favourite parts of any film, ever! It's a shame Olivia didn't appear when it's clearly her singing.
