Your favourite unreleased songs?

I couldn't find an existing thread for this (apologies if there is one), but what are some of your favourite songs that have leaked but were never officially released?

Here's some of mine:

Jennifer Lopez - Everybody's Girl

Whilst Everybody's Girl was eventually released as a bonus track on Love?, the final version of the song was terrible in comparison to this demo version which slaps

Jennifer Lopez - Hooked on You

Another one intended for Love? Bop.

Mutya Keisha Siobhan - No Regrets

I only discovered this a few days ago and honestly I'm obsessed

Victoria Beckham - Me Without You

This has always been my favourite out of all the Victoria Beckham leaks, but I still regularly listen to most of her Telstar tracks because there's definitely some bangers

Britney Spears - Look Who's Talking Now

A leftover from In the Zone, bop

Also special mention to both of these songs that were never actually recorded by Britney (to my knowledge) but they could have been hits for her:

Black Widow

Feet on the Ground

Off the top of my head, here are a few gems:

Cassie has literally hundreds of unreleased songs floating about the internet, ranging from quite good to absolutely bloody brilliant. This is in the latter category, and possibly my favourite Cassie song ever. There's just something so beautiful about it; the spacey synths are pretty minimal but really well fleshed out and help add to the songs slightly otherworldly feel; however Cassie's vocals really shine here, she sounds absolutely transcendent, like she's actually guiding you through the skies, and her voice just absolutely soars with the chrous. While not exactly a belter, I think she has a really nice tone and a certain type of mysterious charisma about her voice that can really amplify the emotions in both straight up bangers and more experimental electronic songs - this fall's somewhere in the middle of these, like some of her very best work. On a more personal note; this song really helped to uplift me when I was going through a really shitty time, there's just something so hopeful about it, Cassie somehow sounds equally geiunaly afraid and supremely confident: it's a strange mixture but completely works, and proves why Cassie is actually something really special. She's often acknowledged the song as one of her personal favourites, alas the album it was supposed to be a part of was shelved, twice and Cassie began exploring new territory, leaving this absolute gem in the vault. I'm not sure how well it would've done as a single, so I can see why it wasn't put out when it was make or break time. However, it seems almost cruel to not have this absolute gem available on streaming. I'm also surprised no other pop girls tried to steal it from her, but I can't really imagine it suiting anyone else quite as well as this.

This song is absolutely phenomenal. I remember being so excited to hear it when it was first teased. Alas, like Cassie, Sky is known too often fall at the mercy of industry gatekeeper's who don't really know what to do with her. Cassie has since escaped these, and I truly hope Sky can too. This song proves just have great she is. Her vocals on the song are jaw dropping, it's a very intense listen as it's almost like she's punching you in the face with her pain. Lyrically the song is from a really interesting angle, and definitely captures the feeling of wanting to escape the guidence you once craved. Production wise it's an absolute dream, too. Just try not to be moved when she belts "too tired too live, too tired to die, so I just stay high" (an excellent lyric if you ask me) over those twinkles. Sky has since scrapped the track from her album and live sets, and the last time she awknowleged it was around four years ago. If she ever gets released from Captiol, I really hope this one makes it out of the vault.

This song, along with the entire ‘Reality’ album was an impeccable pop/R&B album from Dream. As a follow up to their debut, it was filled with pop bangers: ‘Why Me’, ‘Hard 2 Stop’, ‘What it is Your Feeling’, ‘The Real Me’, ‘Clap’ and the lead single ‘Krazy’. As for ‘That’s OK’, this was intended to be the second single but between the releases, the girls disbanded.

For a short period, this album was actually available on streaming and available to download but a few years back they pulled it back offline which is a shame!

Reality would have gotten some serious mileage from me had it been released on CD. I'm glad we have most of it (in varying quality), but I mourn it's release all the time. I especially love Bring it Back.

I've often thought about getting custom artwork printed for Reality (and Harmony by Honeyz), but right now I've just got two burned CD-R's with no artwork as placeholders in my collection. I play them sometimes, but it's never quite the same. Shame they didn't even get Japan-only releases like other flop girl group albums of that time.
